The second Stephen Coonts novel to feature ex-con turned CIA operative Tommy Carmellini in a starring role, THE TRAITOR launches Carmellini into the world of international espionage. The CIA operations officer in charge of Europe is Jake Grafton, a character Coonts fans will remember from the many thrillers in which he is the protagonist. An older and wearier Grafton works more behind the scenes now, and he brings Carmellini in to investigate some suspicious investments that the director of French intelligence has been making in the Bank of Palestine.
